Notes and Tips

  • The skill does not work without a shield if it is learned from an item. However, once the Deflecting status is set, unequipping the shield does not cancel the status.
  • The skill also deflect projectile from spells (Fireball, Fossil Strike, etc.)
  • The skill can deflect your own projectile if you target your feet. If enemy is in range, you can damage them (and yourself) twice.

Can anyone confirm what spells can this skill deflect?
I am working on a build centered around this and above 100% fire resistance. So that I can go near an enemy cluster then cast fireball and crescendo which when deflected explodes twice. This in turn heals my character who gets hit by his own fire spell twice.

Can spells like supernova and meteor shower be deflected?

If spell have a ricochet effect(like ricochet arrow skill or throw shield) it will reflect not back on the caster but on the target it bounced from, can be both useful when enemies use it and dangerous when you do.

This also deflects Healing Ritual back towards the ally who was previously affected by the spell before it reaches you, causing the ritual to heal them twice.

If you stand close enough with an enemy and use a projectile skill that hit both you and the enemy, the projectile will reflect back to the caster "you", essentially doubling the damage.

Also works on spells you cast on yourself. You can reflect your own fireballs and geostrikes for extra damage if you don't mind taking the damage

Ultimate tank and spank skill. This thing is stupidly good if your making a tanky / aggro warrior. Add some buffs and your good to go.
