Lord Linder Kemm is a level 20 Boss NPC in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Information
Lord Linder Kemm is the head of the Divine Order’s Paladins. He leads them from his estate in Arx, where he lives with his wife and children. His estate is known for its beautiful gardens, and for the treasured-filled vault rumored to be lurking beneath the surface.
By the events of Divinity: Original Sun 2, Kemm has rallied his paladins, overthrowing the Magisters in Arx due to their collaboration with the Black Ring. Since then, he has begun looking for Dallis, rallying the paladins to search Arx for her. Though he has freed the city from the Magisters’ tyranny, Kemm governs with an iron fist, punishing dissent harshly. He has become more and more distant from his wife and children, and has been acting strangely…
Lord Linder Kemm Location
- Lord Linder Kemm first appears in Magister's Barracks in Arx.
- If still alive, Kemm will appear in multiple different locations in pursuit of the player, including Reimond’s vault below the Barracks, Arhu’s room in the Cathedral, and his own vault.
Notes and Tips
- If you confront him about his secret, he will first send a band of assassins to ambush you at the bridge leading to his mansion. Then he will openly attack you with his paladins.
- As a central figure in The Arx he is heavily involved in many quests, including The Execution, The Last Stand of the Magisters, The Vault of Linder Kemm, and Finding Lord Arhu.
- Drops his unique shield, Kemm's Deflector.
Quotes
- "Brothers! I have uncovered a Black Ring conspirator! A spy! An assassin! Defend your Lord Commander! To arms!"

Some people saying you can't get shield outside of his prison, this is what worked for me to get shield at Arhu's room: find god king statue that talks to you and stuff under kemm's building, then go back to Arhu's room and read the documents you found in Arhu's room. Ask him about god king worship thingy when he confronts you and he calls you spy and traitor and fights you with bunch of paladins, defeat them and I got shield on his body.

There's nothing quite so satisfying as reducing Lord Linder Kemm to a smoking, electrified corpse.

So.. you can kill him in the Cathedral, but only with low persuasion

Killed Kemm in Arhu’s room, along with his goons x3, the unlucky paladins x3 guarding Arhu’s door, and 2 more paladins added after fight started. Boost XP from 60% to 96% at lv 20.
The downside is that Kemm won’t drop his unique shield when killed outside of his vault. That shield isn’t the best shield in game though.

Killed him in the magister barracks just blocked off the doors with paintings and death fog barrels.
Butcher their leader in the middle of their base leave and come back later... "i dont want to be seen talking with you"
NICE

The best place to kill him is in Arhu's chambers in the cathedral; its not a difficult fight if you can somehow take him out first. He has a lot of allies but they're quite weak so as long as you keep him stunlocked or you kill him first they're quite easy to take out if you cram them into the balcony door and use aoe spells.

As an experiment you can kill Lord Kemm when you first see him trying to execute a 'traitor'......gets I think it was 187k worth of exp in DE? But that would disrupt alot of questing later... But meh. good times.
The fight in vault can be cheesed using deathfog barrels and teleport.
- before the fight place a single deathfog barrel in one of the corners of the goom below. equip everyone with teleport spells\scrolls.
- when black ring appears teleport two of them onto that same barrel area and blow up the barrel.
- when Kemm appears ,teleport another two into death fog and then if you can, heal and cryo Arhu, so he won't die and clear the deathfog.
- Kill Kemm. Take notice he is not affected by death fog at all. Suppose to be human but doesn't die.
