---|---|---|---|
Royal Fire Slug is an NPC / Enemy in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
Fire Slug information
- Found in the Underground Tunnel. ( X: 216 | Y: 598 )
- If you talk to her with Pet Pal, you discover that the slug was betrothed to Braccus Rex. If you tell her Braccus was vanquished long ago, she is overjoyed by the news, and reveals her name as Princess Zenthia. She gives you a letter and tells you to spread the news of her being free once more. (This gives 0 XP, but makes the Fire Slugs neutral towards you.)
- Known skills: Burning Blaze, Immolation, and Fireball.
- Leaves a trail of fire.
- Bleeds fire.
- Explodes fire on death.
- Gives 1200 XP if killed.
Behavior
- This enemy's melee attacks deal Fire damage.
- Typically will use its skills at range before attempting to approach.
- Tends to use Immolation before using Fireball or Burning Blaze, despite doing the inverse would deal more damage.
Tips
- Since this enemy bleeds fire and creates fire surface on death, melee characters are at a disadvantage.
- This enemy is immune to (and heals from) Fire damage. Do not use Pyrokinetic skills that deal damage.
- This enemy is vulnerable to Water damage. Use Hydrosophist skills such as Hail Strike, Ice Fan, or Winter Blast to exploit this weakness.
- On Tactician difficulty, this enemy grants a Water Immunity Aura. If a Fire Slug is nearby, they gain its benefits, rendering all water damage null.

is it possible for the red prince have relations with this slug.

Her loot table makes the fight worth it. Especially if you have a necromancer because the area is littered with corpses you can raise or explode

the dropped item is not guaranteed to be a wand, I just got a Laced Scale Armour, so the item is likely just a random drop like the skillbook is

Alternatively, if you want to go the evil roleplay route, I'll mention the royal fire queen is worth 1200 XP, and each of her four slugs earns 600 XP, for a net total of 3600 XP, which isn't bad. Their fire property and explosion upon death make them difficult at levels 3-4 (at least for me), fortunately you can procure yourself the teleportation gloves, which allows to safely port one of them into your party, kill it, and then flee back to the dungeons' waypoint if needed, etc.
Is it still possible to marry her as the Red Prince? Is there some sort of prerequisite to unlocking the alternate letter path? I have talked to and saved Withermoore, as well as explained to the slug near the entrance/exit that Braccus Rex is long gone, but when talking to the slug and using the Red Prince unique dialog option, I have only two options, both of which lead to a fight. The first option is something like "Don't know who Braccus Rex is, but he's not here, so let's do something fun" and the second option being "I didn't come here to seduce of a flaming ball of slime".
It's weird because I can still take the dialogue route to the normal letter... I've definitely been able to do this before, at least a month or two back at the latest, but not anymore.

She dropped "Spread Your Wings" from Polymorph instead of Cloak and Dagger for me.
I received the “Death Wish” Skill book, and the “Grim Axe” weapon.
The axe has a chance to set suffocating status @ 10%; with 9-11 phys Dmg. Seems decent at a two handed at this level.
