Important NPCs

The Covenant Objectives

  1. Investigate the rising of the dead
  2. On Nameless Isle, decide to serve Godking or not
  3. Break free from God King using swornbreakers

The Covenant Walkthrough

Quest can only be done as an Undead main character (Fane or custom).

Upon traveling through the marshes you will be attacked by a group of undead, just prior to meeting Zaleskar. The head enemy undead will speak with you opening up this quest.  After killing, speak with Zaleskar to continue quest.

On Nameless Isle, a Voidwoken will offer undead character a chance to serve the Godking. If you accept, this will lead to the Godking ending, unless you use the swornbreaker to free yourself.

Tips & Tricks

  • Becoming Sworn to the Covenant will give you a massive stat boost (+2 Attribute points, +2 Combat Skill Points and +2 Talent Points) which is kept even if you use the Swornbreaker and break the Covenant.
  • On the Nameless island regardless if you have gotten the Quest earlier or not you get offered to serve the Godking by the Voidvoken

Beware: If you do as the God King demands you will have to fight EVERYONE at the final fight. Yes this includes your companions even if they are undead.

Before you go into the final room make sure that you are alone and turn on Lone Wolf.

Playing as Lohse main, the Voidwoken doesn't offers the pact. The Voidwoken strongly affirms its distate by humanity
and is especially hostile to Lohse

In the Definitive edition this quest is gone. You will get the opportunity regardless. *Cries in the 10+ hours I tried everything
Don't get stuck like I did

Playing as Fane I get no dialogue from the voidwoken to become sworn. Only to attack or express distaste to the God King.

Does swearing to the covenant cause any companions to leave? Does it lower their morale? I’m looking to complete Ifan, Lohse and Sebille’s quests that I have never done before, and get the god king ending, is this possible?

On the Nameless island regardless if you have gotten the Quest earlier or not you get offered to serve the Godking by the Voidvoken

If you are playing in multiplayer as an undead character but you are not the leader, Will you get the option to join the Covenant as well?

If you intend to break the covenant, make sure you do it prior to completing the Path of Blood otherwise you will not be able to use the Swornbreaker (you will see the animation, but the tag won't be removed).

So I came across this quest WAY later- Act 2. After killing Ryker and looting the hell out of his mansion, I got the quest after reading a note on the second floor in a locked desk.

My guess is that it's meaningless without teh bit earlier, which I had missed.
