in the "eternal warrior" build, they say we should have this skill at level 9. . .but this merchant is in a level 14 area. so you have to metagame it and already know where to go and you have to sneak through out of depth zones before you are "supposed" to go there. . . and yet, i'm level 11, i reached this spot and none of the merchants have the book! i assume it's because my level is too low. according to this page, it says the books appear at level 16 in "any" merchant, so then there's no reason to make the trek up there, except that i found some nice gear upgrades in random loot on the way up there there are 3 merchants and i checked them all, none have the book.

In case you guys would like to use challenge on every character of your party (since that spell is amazing) do note that it's POINTLESS to cast CHALLENGE on an ENEMY already under CHALLENGE by one of your character in your party. 1 challenge cast = 1 enemy. You can cast 2 or even 3/4 challenges (considering the size of your party) on the same enemy but only the first character to cast challenge on that enemy will gain the bonus on the death of that enemy, otherwise it would be too OP and that spell is already too strong, lmao. They reduced the cost from 1 AP to 0 AP. And the spell was already OP when it costed 1 AP...

It seems the 20% bonus damage is only additive. A piercing attack on the Doctor that did about 11000 damage without Challenge, then did 11300 with it (won on a minion). I reloaded and repeated the test 3 times, each time Challenge only increased the final damage about 300. This was on Tactician, and the boss only had a bit over 10k HP so it was still a 1HKO.

No longer requires any AP to cast as of Definitive Edition, making it a great skill to cast on dying/low health enemies for a free buff when you kill them.

does this require lvl 16 to buy? Cus im lvl 15 and the stranded merchant doesn't have it.

Can this be cast on allied summons? It'd be bonkers if it could. Executioner + kill a totem for a cheap heal, buff, and AP refund.

Currently level 17, 3k health and 15 points in Warfare this skill gave me:
~500 healing
Buff for (1) round:
605 Physical and Magic armor
15% damage
Don't know if this has been said, but I believe the healing from triggering this turns to damage with decay, like other heals. Almost lost my solo Fane honor run on the Harby fight when it triggered.
