Bouncing Shield Spell Book Location
- Kalias - Fort Joy Cavern (195 Gold)
- Sold by Gareth in Sanctuary of Amadia after completing the quest Most Dangerous When Cornered.
Bouncing Shield Requirements
Notes and Tips
- Base damage is equal to 70% of the Physical Armour value of the equipped shield.
- Scales with Warfare.
- Adding Masterwork Runes into a Shield (which increases its armor value) will increase the damage of this Skill.
- This Skill counts as a "Spell" and is affected by Silence. It can only Critically Hit if you have the Savage Sortilege Talent.
- Because misc Damage bonuses (e.g. Flesh Sacrifice, Challenge, Death Wish) are multiplicative for spells, Bouncing Shield benefits more from these than other Warfare skills.

Random interaction I found. If your shield bounces from your primary target to a target that has the "deflecting" status, the shield will bounce and damage your primary target again. Good tool for dealing damage to someone deflecting

Is it possible to get this skill if you didn't pick it up during the first act? I assume you can't buy it anywhere else or find a scroll for it, but do any shields come with this ability?

this skill for some reason is really strong, considered being the strongest skill in my party.

It was nerfed in Definitive edition, but it's still a nice skill. Not OP anymore, which is better for the balance of course. Still recommended tho.

Also receives higher ground dmg bonus, increasing the stupid amount of damage it already does.

One of the best skills for using shield. Scales on the armor of the shield so you can even have this on mages who use wand / shield. Stupid dmg

this is one of the most damaging physical skill in any skill tree, since shield have huge numbers of physical armour. a lvl 15 shield can deal 1000 damage if you have both single handed and warfare at decent lvl(5 or more)
If you use a shield, get this skill. It provides great damage output with little investment needed (1 point in warfare), as its damage scales primarily off of the shield itself (And warfare of course). Due to the 2 turn cooldown, it helps enable semi-consistent damage in a full tank build, as you can opt to max something like retribution or leadership instead of warfare. In addition, it gives a solid physical damage option to mages, and makes the damage nerf of using 1 handed vs 2 handed not as bad.
