Deep Freeze trivia & strategies

  • As the scroll only costs 2 AP costs, which can be lessened to 1 AP with Ambidextrous talent, it can be spammed for great effect
  • Don't use it for the insta-kill effect. At 10% Vitality enemies will most likely not need much to die

So the description for this spell is pretty misleading. The way it actually works in the game, is first it does the water damage. If that left the target with no magic armor, they freeze unless there's something else that prevents them from freezing. Only then does it do the insta-kill check, so you can freeze a target and bring them under 10% vitality using this spell and still get the insta-kill.

I have the ingredients required to craft the scroll but the combination doesn't bring up any result. What I'm doing wrong? Anyway, can I wait till it's sold by merchants?

Just a clarification, this doesnt autofreeze enemies who have magic armor. Typically a target needs to be chilled or wet before you can freeze them. This ability bypasses that interaction and goes directly to freeze.

Shattering something under 10% seems terrible when you consider the fact that once they're that low, almost anything should finish them off. Do you really need a 4 AP skill to do that? The answer is: NO.
