Medusa Head trivia & strategies
- A very powerful CC, as simply going near enemies without magical armour petrifies them, and staying near them will keep them so for 2 turns
- Be mindful of the duration of this skill, however: all enemies caught by the petrification will be immediately unpetrified after your turn
- In the last turn, to keep them petrified for one more turn, move away from the petrified enemies until they unpetrify, then use Petrifying Visage
- Do note that you first need to move away for the enemies to get unpetrified before using Petrifying Visage. If you use it while they're petrified by the aura, the petrification's length won't become 1 turn, instead it will end at the same time the caster's Medusa Head ends
- Will petrify characters that fly overhead with Flight, but if their flight end point isn't next to the character with Medusa Head active, they won't stay petrified

Seems like this also grants an extra level in geomancy while activated?

Ironically Medusa Head is not canceled out by the Chameleon Clock. You can combo the two to turn your character into an invisible petrifying mine.
Ok. The thing that made this ability an absolute favorite for me was when I watched an enemy leap past me and by passing me they got petrified.
Just get hast spammed on the person with this and you can now drive by petrify the enemy.

This seems to be bugged. Enemies randomly snap out of the petrified state right after I petrified them by walking up to them and stayed there.

Excellent skill for a hybrid team. It gives your Str character the ability to CC when going up against low magic armor enemies.
The only bad side is that petrify increases Fire resist by 30%, which if you’re doing magic damage you probably have. Still, the passive aura and the active longer range effect make for some long duration CC.

Maybe people consider this obvious information, but I couldn't find it written down anywhere:
The petrifying aura from Medusa Head will "permanently" petrify any mobs that have no Magic Armor, but only while the char with Medusa Head stays nearby. If they leave then petrification drops immediately.

This also gives you +1 Geomancer and 50% Earth Resistance while active. Goes away when you use Petrifying Visage.

Can I say it's dumb that the damage is based upon the character's Strength attribute? Why can't this be like Warfare where the damage is based off your main weapon attribute?
Overpowered CC for both mixed and magic-based teams. Combine with teleport and just get multiple people petrified, then spam all your AoE on them
