Marg the Troll is an NPC in Divinity: Original Sin II.
Marg the Troll information
- Level 15
- Marg is guarding the bridge to Cloisterwood at coordinates X:297 Y:217. He is cheerful and polite, and will request a ridiculously small sum to cross the bridge, which can be reduced even more if you tell him about your battles with Voidwoken.
- An NPC in Business Rivals quest.
- Vulnerable to poison damage.
- Drops an epic (level 16) ring.

- Marg the Troll first appears in Cloisterwood at Reaper's Coast.
Notes and Tips
- After you hit him, he gets a Troll Blood effect, which significantly restores his vitality every turn. To get rid of this effect you need to poison Marg.

AnonymousKilled Marg after getting the quest from Grog, going back to Grog I have no option to turn in the quest though, just to either pay him or fight him.

After telling marg you killed the other troll, this troll charges you a way too much just to cross the bridge compared to the previous price. Killing him is much better after that.

Why would you harm such a polite Gentleman of a Troll? Legit, almost everywhere they are displayed as brute savages, and here he is so friendly and people just murder him.

This guy is incredibly easy to cheese even without using noxious bulbs. Get a character capable of using a wand, and get a wand with poison element on it. Stand at the foot of the bridge and carefully ctrl + click to put poison everywhere without actually hitting him. He'll step in the poison and take damage but won't aggro. Easy level 15 ring with tons of magic armor on it.

Teleport the Green Noxious Bulb that you find on your way from the city to his foot, put fire on it and let the little plant do the job. He will be set on fire and constantly trigger the bulb poison, and then turn the poison on fire. You just need to sit and watch. Even easy if you are undead to move the bulb safely.

Best tactic for this is just to equip several shock and cripple effect skills and cycle these over and over along with poison. Marg won't even get a chance to respond.

Falsities, good sir... Poison stops Marg's regeneration. Fire stops Grog's regeneration.
