Andras is an NPC in Divinity: Original Sin II.
Andras information
- Level 11
- Andras is an undead dog guarding an entrance to the crypt where Qanna can be found.
- Qanna from All In The Family quest considers herself a master of Andras, while he calls her a minion instead.
Andras location
- Andras first appears in Stonegarden at Reaper's Coast.
Notes and Tips
- Use Pet Pal to talk to Andras
- When you fight him he will summon a powerful minion that is soul bound to Andras
- Teleporting minions behind closed gates will not work, they are able to open them.
- When Andras dies the soul bound minion automatically dies, but is unlootable.
- It is possible to sneak around Andras to reach the gate, then return to fight once your characters are a higher level.

Both him and the 1200 HP golem he summons are undead, if anyone in the party has ANY healing ability he can be killed with alacrity via healing spells. My Hydrosophist Cleric used a couple healing spells on him and almost killed him in one round.

Unavoidable oneshot, pinnacle of game design. The game is great, but with flaws, as everything else.

just teleport the bone golem and focus Andras with physical... not sure why people in the comments found this fight so tough. shadowblade+ranger+2h+mage was a very simple fight. you can lay down oil ahead of time if you need to, both on andras and where the golem will be teleported to. you can also use rain + Turn to Oil midfight (2 AP) as well; Slow goes through physical and magical armour.

Here's a great cheese strategy, start the fight with andras with only one character (preferably your tank), while the rest of the party station at the wooden platform reachable only by ladder at the hero's grave area. Try to lure Andras the hero's burial and teleport him onto the stone platform just opposite the wooden one, which will imobolize him. Have your tank climb up the wooden platform and your entire party can safely range-damage Andras while his summons stare helplessly under your feet (note he can summon an undead archer at the start of the fight, but its nothing you can't just range-damage. Andras also have a range attack such as Mosquito Swarm, but since the cool down is quite long, you have a big window to deal damage and kill him before he can heal)

I've seen some interesting suggestions here, but nothing that tickles my fancy quite like this one. Want some *real* cheese?
Teleport one of the blue Noxious bulbs over to Andras, and let him sit in it for a while. He'll move a little bit, but he'll never actually leave the pool of cursed electrified water. Depending on what difficulty you're playing, this could take a while before it whittles down the magic armor. Just before his magic armor hits 0, you NEED to engage in a conversation with him, and fast. Do this correctly, and he will start combat with no magic armor AND stunned, preventing him from summoning anything.

This game has a serious problem with ambushes. JFC you can't walk ten steps without a bunch of random mobs popping up out of nowhere and having initiative. Have som ****ing restraint Larian wtf...

I had killed Ryker and attacked Andras from out of combat - he never summoned the necrotic troll
If you want to make this fight easier for you then first teleport all of the corpses scattered about somewhere off the battle area, this will prevent him from overloading you with minions. Then once you done that simply stealth strike him, then negative attitude towards you will count for nothing since he'll die anyway. During the fight just focus all of your attacks on the dog, the summons will die when they do. If everything as planned, they should go down in no time.

Andras and Bone Golem both give 1950xp with a total of 2 x 1950xp. Archer gives no xp. Tested in DE.

You can just focus Andras and everything else will die. Tested the theory that killing his summons gives exp- it doesn't, at least in DE. Had same exp after killing Andras alone, and after killing his golem, one skeleton ranger and one bloated corpse, then Andras.

Found out that if you use Chameleon Cloak and attack Andras out of combat, he will howl and run away for a short amount of time. This leaves access to the lever and hatch.

difficult if you just run in, you can use source vampire on all the skeletion corpses and it will keep him from raising them make the fight easier.

His summon can 1-shot your weaker party members so I moved my ranged units out of sight when talking to him, then walked them into combat after starting the fight. If you move them in right after the dog summons his bone crusher then the bone crusher will have been summoned by your melee units but he will then run at your weak units and waste a turn. Healing spells are really good here because they are both undead.

Or you can just kill him without talking to him, he will just stand there.
If anyone play in solo and struggle with fight against the Andras (and his troll, worm and two skeletons that he summons), heres how I did this (Honour difficulty, solo challenge)
1. First talk to the dog, make him summon troll and flee from the fight (Escapist talent is very useful here but not a must - anyway remember about an option to respec on Lady Vengeance).
2. Before the fight use some movement buffs (like Haste). You can also use some slow on the ground between you and enemies (and troll already standing next to him) like Ice or Oil.
3. Start the fight by using some aoe attack from over the max range (like Laser Ray or Winter Blast for example). You can also stand even further and summon something (for example a cat) in the range of agro, but why refuse to deal some nice dmg to his magic armor with free action cost? ^_^"
4. Move to the place where is the fight against four dead heroes (elf, lizard, dwarf and human). Use the ladder to get the high ground. You might need some summon active to hold the combat for you (because of the distance). Up here you are safe from troll and if you stick to the back of platform, skeletons wont be a problem aswell. When dog summon a worm you can either kill him with fire or use teleport to throw down - 2nd option is better to be saved for skeletons.
5. Stay up there and kill the dog without problems with his minions, they will vanish once you take down their master (Andras that is).
Have one member to initiate the fight, make sure they have living on the edge. Let other members sneak in and teleport it to tarquin nearby via skills or scrolls. My man gave the dog a proper beatdown.
